Last time I moved was about 2 months after I had a knee surgery. There was no way I was going to move by myself, plus I hate moving (who doesn't).
Anyway, I hired a moving crew. It took them about 2 hours and cost me $196 + tip.
I will never move by myself again. Call around, get some quotes, and hire the cheapest, with the best insurance policy.
The company I hired had a policy that said that if anything was damaged, it came out of the mover's checks, so they were extra careful.

Oh sorry.
Rail Slide: 1. Approach the rail with cautious, but ample speed. The faster you're going, the less chance you have of falling off of it. 2. Ollie early and high enough to get up and on the object. 3. Extend your legs and plant your board on the rail. Since you are interested in doing a rail slide, plant the board perpendicular. If you would like to do a 50/50 grind, plant the board parallel to the rail. There are other variations, but start with these two. 4. Plant the board lightly, allowing your speed and air to carry you rather than sliding on the rail right away. Settle yourself as slowly as possible onto the rail. 5. Be ready to speed up as soon as you hit the rail as metal tends to go faster than snow. Wood tends to go slower. 6. Hop up slightly as you reach the end of the rail and straighten the board out to land riding forward, or fakie if you roll that way.
Candle Wax: 1. Plug the clothes iron in and turn it to the lowest setting possible and make sure the steam setting is off. 2. After the iron heats up, take a paper towel (the more absorbent the better) and place it over the wax. Gently apply the warm iron to the paper towel. The wax will start to liquefy and the paper towel will absorb it. 3. Continue working the iron and paper towel until all of the wax is absorbed.
This process can take time, so have patience.
