How is american's suffering being good for america?  Ask the soldiers.

That was his sarcastic remark to your melodramatic assumption that him saying we'd have less disposable income for shit like 4 wheelers meant he wanted a depression.  YOU defined not having a 52 inch tv as a "depression" HE said nothing of soup lines he merely agreed that if YOUR definition of a depression was no 500 channels, no big screen tv and no 4 wheelers then yes he wanted a "depression" of that type.

When you apply at fox news don't bother with a resume just send them this thread; they'll probably fire o'reilly on spot to make room for the Logical(oh the irony) show.

Here let me help you.

So basically you are saying that we need to go into a depression to teach us a lesson?
Exactly what I'm saying.

Did you actually read mongoose's post?  Taylor said nothing about a depression.  He said that if taxes go up, people will have to learn to go without some of the luxuries they now enjoy.  You took this to mean a severe "depression," so Taylor sarcastically agreed (as he is prone to do).  You then took this statement further by implying that Taylor thinks it will be best for the country if we all have to stand in soup lines.  Say whu?

So what you're saying is you were wrong about americans suffering not being good for america, cause despite the suffering that our soldiers are doing there is good being accomplished.  Thank you for agreeing with me.

Now go get yourself some reading comprehension skills then follow the depression bit again and see that YOU equated what was said to a depression and powdered said ok call it a depression if you want but that's what I'm after.  Literal definitions of the word were not stated.  But since you are not debating, ie: make a case, then make a counter case, I see no point to continue talking with you as I've made my case and I've waited plenty good and long for you to reply in a logical manner(see what I did there).

Can my point of view be swayed?  Yes.  By bullshit spouted by someone who doesn't even look into their own "facts" and when called on it says "we're talking about completely different things?". No.  Go do some research, gain some common sense, and for god's sake study english comprehension and usage and then we will start over fresh.

I am not a democrat, I have voted for people from various parties and will continue to do so.

Sorry I can't read sarcasm through the Internets, I guess I have not been blessed with that skill.

Okay lets reboot this whole conversation then in a new thread about politics, since somewhere along the line this turned into the Internet version of the classic Telephone game.
