I found it quite intresting... I thought you might to after our talk the other night.  Of course like most high end electronics they can't really say one way or another.  So it seems just like opitical vs. coax its just a matter of signal distortion.

Wow jake... i don't know if you care but this article is way cool. it pretty much tells you that 720p is better than both 1080i and 1080p because of the bandwidth restrictions for some of the current hdtv standard. its way interesting and i wish i would have found it earlier. say before i bought my 51'' tv

Interesting reads.  I'm glad I went with my decision to only get a 1080i instead of paying a ton more for 1080p.  Most HDTV signals are broadcase in 1080i right now anyway.

Isn't HDMI the same exact spec as DVI + integrated audio? :S
