I thought this might be interesting and it's pretty simple. Write a haiku about your game of choice. It can be reflective, mocking, funny, sad, whatever. For those of you that need a refresher on haiku format (that would include me) here are the basics:
The most common form for Haiku is three short lines.
The first line usually contains 5 syllables.
The second line 7 syllables
The third line contains 5 syllables.
Haiku doesn't rhyme. Put the poem's meaning and imagery in the reader's mind in 17 syllables over just 3 lines of poetry.
So, with that explained here is my attempt:
Blinded by a flash,
I am as doomed as can be,
'til round number three.
Yikes. Hope someone can do better. I know haiku doesn't rhyme, but old habits die hard, and it just didn't seem right without it.
