I'm working up a second option to our current site's skin.  This isn't even my finished proposal yet, I just ran out of fuel for now.  I really need criticism.  I'm sure the first thing you'll notice is the major lack of contrast.  I'll fix it.  My design monitor has an incredibyl high contrast and brightness, and it looked too subtle on that monitor.  On my laptop's monitor it's hard to see a damn thing.

I mean for the background to be subtle, but the menu really needs to stand out.  Hopefully I will figure out a good way of making it do that.

What feedback do you have for me.  I do accept "it sucks" but I prefer something constructive.

Why can't I just win the lottery and make it snow?

Not really original, but you could go with a blue aqua button on hover.  I do like the looks tho.

Let's try to work in that 3rd column. It's going to be necessary for affiliates.

I think I will basically scrap this design, on the bright side I will use it for my flash site I need for class.  Lat would prefer to have a gaming look on the site instead of web 2.0.  I agree as well.  I don't really get to work with web 2.0 often so for me it is fresh and fun, but it is certainly not original.  I would like to do something creative for the site instead.

Please keep the feedback and requests coming.  It is late so I'm sure I will miss a few but the site proposal will have the following features:

Home Page
- Login/out
- Affiliates
- News section that pulls from a special board in the forum, a new post in the board will show up on the site making it easy to update.
- Recent Posts
- Whos online
- Recent Matches
- CAL Team
- Server status
- Brief Server Stats? (will have to see if I can work something out with Gid's site and if it is worth it)

Profiles
- Seperate profiles for all our members, again it will be pulled from teh forums so each member can update his profile
- Shoutbox

Contact Us
- Form that submits to a cgi script

Media
- Demos.  We might could use an upload feature for demos?
- Gallery
- Movies

Scrimmages
- I may try and create a seperate page that draws from the forums instead of having it link to the forums, making it easier to navigate.
