the developers I work with say its nice... but they'll never use it...   

I'm personally more interested to see what they do with Apollo...

Scott Hanselman just did a pod cast that talks about silverlight and a little about apollo and flash (very little) for those who are interested in this.  Also, from listening to this, i must correct myself. Originally, flex required a flex server to do any of the dynamic stuff. According to Scott, flex 2 apps can use any dynamic stuff from php or .net or coldfusion, etc.
