Me and the Mrs. watched this the other night. It was kind of still shocking to see the devastation that this created. Good movie overall. I did not know that their were so many Port Authority Policeman there at the time. I guess they had an office or something there?

I'm with Ikono.  There is a difference between telling history and making a buck.  I think the movies were WAY to quick.  Although, I heard they were making WWII movies during WWII...

Funny thing is, now we consider most good WWII movies to be classics and watch them repeatedly.

So I guess it's fine to make a quick buck off a tragedy, you just need to wait for 40 years.

I agree with you Iknono, but I wanted to see what it was about. Maybe learn new things about the tragedy.

Overall I think I am glad it came out cause alot of people still think we can sit down and talk to these people. People may need to be reminded of the barbaric terrosists that did this. It was hard for my wife to watch it.

To my knowledge it's based on a true (great) story that emphasizes the heroism and bravery of our cops/firemen. IMHO I think, regardless of how much money was made or not, I think these stories should be shared across all mediums for everybody to know and honor these brave souls.

Has anyone seen Penn and Teller's show on Showtime about 9/11?

I think I'm gonna watch this one. I used to live / work in Manhattan and I was in and out of the PATH station at WTC every day.  The Port Authority policed that station (all the PATH stations), and PATH basically ran the whole operation at WTC.  Only been back there once since 9/11 - last year.  It was surreal - and it's hard to imagine all of the carnage that was there.  I used to walk by the fire station next to the towers all the time - said hi to the firemen that were always hanging around outside.
