ok here we go.
I am going to be the first to say that I love robots. I LOVE THEM. robots are really cool especially bad ass robots. Also i would like to put out there that i loved transformers growing up. I had a deep love for them.
And based on these facts i was extremely worried about the new Michael Bay movie.
I was very skeptical, i was undeniably pessimistic. but i was not let down. I wanted a lot from this movie.
Good CG, good battle sequences, the true bad ass ness of Optimus, and it delivered.
they did an excellent job. There were moments that i was just filled with the upmost Joy to be watching this movie. I am serious, it brought back a childhood feeling of excitement that i  have all but forgotten about.
there were parts that i was just flat out giddy to be a witnessing this movie. and the side humor was pretty decent too. kinda cheesy in parts but hell you cant have it all can you? besides how do you make a movie that is aimed at such a hard to please demographic and have the ENTIRE movie be appealing to all of the millions? you dont you do your best and they did.

I actually saw it on July 2nd, an early showing in Washington state. But I don't live there. To the point, I'd have to say it was a pretty good movie. Yeah, it was also good that it had humor in the movie which made it better. Action was pretty good. Although, I kind of didn't get the last part of the movie....

That's about it for me.

I was completely disappointed by this movie.  I was 100% bored the whole time that the hot girl wasn't on screen.

And for the record, I LOVED transformers growing up.  This was a huge let down for me.

Have you watched any of those transformers you loved growing up lately?  They'd bore you to tears now...

I love and hate that. When you go back to something that nostalgia has made grandiose and inebriating, only to find that it is horrible. Hooray memory.

Transformers was good. I could have done without about half the characters, though I do appreciate the hotness brought by some of them. About half an hour was totally useless, brought nothing to the story, and seemed to be added in just for an extra laugh. Very entertaining though.

I too loved the transformers growing up. I remember the jealousy i felt at my neighbor getting the optimus toy,

Look any time they are marketing something from your childhood, it walks a thin line. Now in the past i have been very hard to please when it came to this type of movie i.e. spiderman, xmen, fantastic four... However, with this one i looked back at what i loved about transformers growing up. and in doing so i couldnt hold the movie to heavier expectations than what was promised to begin with... Cool animation, (for the time it was super cool) Good battles, cool technology, and a sing song moral at the end of the episode.  The only real change that i wanted was i wanted them to try and actually kill each other. so this battle had been raging for thousands of years? instead of learning a valuable lesson at the end of each episode why did they just kill them?
In short, i wanted good robot battles and good CG. both of which was delivered.

I liked GI JOE growing up because they taught me that plastic explosives are only good if you have a detonator attached to it.

Oh, and the to burn down a building, you start at the first floor... not the 3rd or 4th. "Destroy the Foundation, the rest comes tumbling down... YAY COBRA!"

Show me one Power Rangers that taught anyone those interesting facts.. HA!

Put in all seriousness I learned from GI JOE that the people that use those skills always end up in prison.  YO JOE!
