Nope, it's been in talks since 2004. I heard about it way back when, they're also gonna make an Indiana Jones 4, someday.

I went to the Lakers / Pistons NBA championship game 1 a few years ago, saw Stallone on the red carpet (VIP entrance) from 3 feet away. He was the most freakish human I've ever seen in the flesh. My skin crawls just remembering that day - steroids are BAAAADDDD!

Yeah.
Action heroes apparently don't get it. When a band comes out of retirement and starts touring again, that's awesome. When an old, wrinkly man pays a trainer big $ to make him look huge, then uses that fake hugeness in a movie, that's not awesome. Rather, that's disgusting, gross, and vile.
As ikono said, it would be better as a joke.

instead of breaking the neck john rambo opts for the ol' trachea removal.
