My wife and I went to see this on Saturday. We both grew up watching the show and while we don't have time for the weekly episodes anymore we did enjoy the movie.
The plot was decent for what it was and the characters lived up to everything you'd expect. There wasn't too much of Lisa or Marge to drive you crazy and the writers catch you off guard a number of times for an excellent laugh.
If you enjoy the show its worth seeing. Although Bourne Ultimatum comes out this weekend so it'll be tough to not go see that!

i have to admit i enjoyed holes, and his performance in that, but i took it for what it is, a movie for my little 12 year old bro. i liked i robot, but not his performance.
back to simpsons, i loved it, it was great, and it held true to the twists and turns of every other half hour episode.

I like him.. And all of his cheese movies. Including transformers, holes, and iRobot.
BUT, I like most movies at some level or another..
except for Ultra Violet.. WORST MOVIE EVER
