Didn't we already have the Cable V DSL talk?  I can usually let my torrents go while playing as well, although I am quite stingy with my upstream.

Yeah, 4mb cable you should be fine.  Mine might be 6, but still, you should be able to hack it.

I cap mine at 2.

Yes, you can hate me, no I won't change it.

On average I have 4 people using this connection, one is playing WoW, the other doing office work, the next downloading random junk, and then myself doing anything and everything.

If I'm uploading very fast at all the whole thing slows to a crawl.

bah, some cheap d link wireless router; it might be the cheapest one on the market. lol i luv it when someone buys something cuz it's just inexpensive and that person neglects doing actual research.

so.. Wireless B?  If so, that might be your problem...  You can't transmit the bandwidth from your router to your computer.....

 EDIT:(o dear, bad grammar.)
any recommendations for a new router and adapter? i've noticed this adapter crashes my pc once in awhile when i use bittorrent. it's crashed a few times during cs. i've updated the drivers for the adapter but it didn't help. it's gotten to the point where i get aNgry at times.

Linksys G routers are usual stable and aren't too expensive (although I have purchased 2 that didn't work at all out of the box... Just return those)...

I have a USB d-link wireless adapter also and it works well...
