Okay, HLstatsX has been headed downhill for the past year. This last week, they finally broke the camel's back with the following straw:

There is no longer a download page for HLstatsX, there is no longer any support for the plugin, the developers may eventually stop updating the sourcemod plugin. HLStatsX wants everyone to pay for their 'premium' version now.

Thus, I propose that we move onto Psychostats. Yes Psychostats is primarily webbased, but we have a few options for ingame plugins. We can run a plugin that is almost EXACTLY the same as the current plugin. It has all the commands and still resembles a kitchen sink.

We have the option of running a stripped down ingame plugin which has 'rank' and 'top10'

Let's use this thread to get people's opinions. Do we want to eventually switch stats and if we do, which in-game plugin do we want to use - the kitchen sink or the stripped down?

I'm not planning on doing this right now as we are in the middle of the server move. This would be a few months down the road if we did it. Once we're popular again and everyone can handle another big change.

I would like still when you type in rank. It does the same thing as before.  Shows accuracy, the kdr and position you are in on the server, as well as session.  Also top 10 and when you type place. It tells you what place your in.  So i guess everything it had before or close to it if possible.

Link could easily be the same. It really wouldn't be that hard or big of a change.

The webend of Psychostats has 10x the features of HLstatsX, the ingame plugin wouldn't be quite as nice. It would 95% the same, just a few differences here and there.

I'll launch it in september, providing everyone agrees.

get rid of ingame stats?
its nice to know how well im doing relative to myself (session points), but people who care about their rank ALOT will possibly team stack...
But then again oPG isn't like normal pubs so maybe that wont be true.
Imho, whatever is easiest for laby to set up is fine.

Yeah, I'm all for getting rid of ingame stats, but experience has proven time and time again that stats are INCREDIBLY popular.

Server population shot through the roof when we added HLstatsX at oPg and the same exact thing happened over at BoE. I remember they ran their server without stats for 3 months, it was an amazing experience, but it was hard to draw players.
