I honestly think that for the better of everyone server should be located cent since players from the east/cent/west play on it. As u can see most of the time the old server is full while the new one has 10 or less players.... might be cause people don't know about it but I'm pretty sure 80% or more do. Since the new server is gonna be located in LA people from the east are gonna get lag and stop playing on it and you will lose many of the players that used to play on it.

It doesn't have as many people cause you hill billies worry about your ping more then the reg. You guys complained about the reg now it is the ping. Cant satisfy you...

You would have a valid argument minus the point that the new server has been around for 3 days and the old one has been around for 2 years.
The fact that the new server has 10 people in it on average when it has only been around for a few days is nothing short of a miracle.
Also, the fact that the new server is on its own box far outweighs the ping difference. Unless your ping is over 50-80ms higher than the old one, you should notice a definite increase in performance.
I guess we could put the server Cent, but then everyone would ping mediocre to it. oPg is primarily west based, over 50-60% of our traffic comes from Colorado and further west. It makes more sense to put it in LA than Chicago. Dallas is just a bad datacenter all the way around.
You see our problem. We can either piss off 60% of our playerbase and move the server to Chicago or move it west and make the majority happy. Regardless, the new server still outperforms the other one, which is what everyone was complaining about.

Come back in 3 weeks and if the server is still under populated, then we will have a problem. Even then, 3 weeks for a 24/7 filled 18 man server is nothing short of amazing.

I went to qwest.com to "get in the loop" on their 20mb/s fibre and they told me that it is available in dialup in my area. OMGWTFBBQ I didn't know I could get 20mb/s over my modem!! Why doesn't everybody do this? I signed up and should be getting set up any day now. |

my ping is 65 instead of 30.. and it feels almost identical. its a pub, you dont need 3 ping.
