oPg admin selection will be based on merit. Donations can and will heavily influence your application; base level admins may not be purchased, but donations do help.
Merit is to be defined as any admirable quality or attribute. This will include, but is not limited to the following categories:
1.   Time on the Server
2.   Time on the Forums
3.   Peer review of character
To reiterate. Donations are important, do not discredit them.

Talk about ring around the bush, LOL!!!!!!!!!

You're the one who demanded that go in there, remember?

Admins cannot be purchased.

He's held to the same standards as all of us. He abuses it, we pull his admins.

Wow, this sounds like a management nightmare.

These rules also apply to the senate, correct?  What happens if there is a surplus?  I'd like answers to these before casting my vote.

One other concern.  People might get the impression that if you aren't going to donate at least $15/month, you might as well not even bother.  It could just be the wording, or it could just be my interpretation.  I'd consider different wording however, or maybe include an "all donations are appreciated."

Also, demoting current high-level admins is a slippery slope.  Get someone diplomatic to tell them (not Killa).

There are very few people who would currently qualify for anything less than deputy admins, most of the senate included.

Do you have the ability to purchase higher admins for multiple months at a time.  Say I just gave 30 bucks last month, would I be entitled to 2 months of elemental admins before I would need to donate again?  Or we are looking for the consistent donator?

Good Lord I'd hate to be the one managing all of this.  With rules like this, there will be and should be high expectations on those that manage it.

If I donate $15 to get high admins this month, I should be able to expect 30 days from the time I donate.

I think I might vote no for now.  It seems like there are too many holes and it hasn't been thought out well enough.

If it does pass, it MUST be applicable to the senate (Killa included) as well, meaning there could only be 1-2 god admins.

Yes, they do.

If there is a surplus, that $ amount counts towards the next month.

Thank Killa for that one

This was a hot issue. We decided to include it, but could remove it if it is unpopular.

There are very few people who would currently qualify for anything less than deputy admins, most of the senate included.

True. This is why Deputy admins must suffice for any and all server management. There is a loophole as all senate members are considered server operators, but that will be used for just 1-2 god level admins. As it has always been.

Do you have the ability to purchase higher admins for multiple months at a time.  Say I just gave 30 bucks last month, would I be entitled to 2 months of elemental admins before I would need to donate again?

Yes, you can purchase multiple months at a time.

Please explain

Constructive criticism would be well appreciated at the moment. I can pull this whole thing and come back to the table with a completely revised policy.

Or, I wouldn't be offended in the slightest if you tell me the whole thing sucks and to just come back with something completely new. That leaves me at a loss, though, considering we spent the last few weeks getting community opinion via polls and debates and debated the whole thing in the senate several times over. What do people really want?

there needs to be an ammendment to the admin selection portion:

"The exception to the above stated is that Stephen Colbert is an honorary admin."

Like Jake said it will be very hard to manage.  Think of all the people that donate and in varying amounts.  Some will donate $30 and expect 2 months, others will donate two sets of $10 and expect one month....

I voted other because I think those prices are pretty steep and it would be impossible to manage.  I say a person has to donate 3 months worth in advance or some form of down payment before he is upgraded.  And then he can add on to those three months whenever.

I also think the prices are pretty steep.  How about $10 for elemental and $20 for full?

No matter what it will still be hard to manage.  And considering you guys have lives I think it will turn into a crap fest.

It seems to be that all the commentary is about the higher level admins for purchase section.

Here's my proposition:

Split the core from the Purchase section, and run them individually. That way we can debate the issues and potential problems with the purchased admins away from the core admin policy which is what everyone was rather concerned about.

The higher level stuff is the topping for the cake. Whether it's rotten garbage or wonderful icing, I'm not sure yet.

That is a great idea.  I would change my vote to yes in that case.  You should remove the notice at the bottom if you do that...

There's one issue I'm a little fuzzy on, and it may just be because it's late and I'm not paying enough attention.  And honestly, I'd like to think that with the guidelines we've laid out it shouldn't be an issue.  Most of our admins are longstanding members of the community and know each other.  I've been around about a year now, and while I don't know if I'm "officially" in oPg (don't remember how all that works) I consider myself as being so.  I'm probably just over-reacting to something that happened the other day; I'm just worried about possible disagreements between opg admins and people who have purchased admin.  I've never seen anything like it here, as we all know each other for the most part, but I've seen these situations before in other clans I played with.  With these guidelines I don't think it will ever be a problem, I just wanted to point out the possibility exists.

And sorry I've been slacking on the donations.  This job change affected my cash flow a lot more than I predicted; I'm trying to find another job in conjunction with it.  However, I did some plumbing work under the table for people this weekend, so here is twenty bucks D:<

EDIT:

Talked with killa about this, not really a concern anymore.  Thought I'd leave the post up for flaming purposes.
