well we all know what happens when everyone has 16k AWPS! but again looking at a cal rotation server and playing like its a scrim i guess it would be nice to try it out?

I have noticed the decline, I agree with 3 awps per side (one mid, one A, one B) and I don't see why we shouldn't give 16k a chance. (Yes, I realize you have before, but maybe people want to be able to practice with ak/m4/awp right when they join instead of wait 3 rounds because their team can't win.)

I haven't been here long, but I was formally the co-leader of a community that was times larger then this one, and I know from experience that server populations fluctuate all the time and as long as you keep a dedicated user base you can ensure that you will always have people in your server, which is the most important thing in ensuring that your sever stays full. Why do you think I chose to come to your server out of the +30000 CS:S servers out there? It was near full. I also find that changing things on the server tends to make the population decline worse. The best thing to do (in my opinion) is to simply find a group of people and encourage them to spend a little bit more time then usual in the server, just to get things kick started. If you build it, they will come.

But, it's your server. Do what you want with it.

I agree with jmo. Despite the spec joining, I mean seriously, albeit annoying, its not THAT big of a deal if people do it.

i like the utah ds plugin where it slays people trying to play the same round twice.

Here's my two bits:

The money isn't the problem with the decline in server population.  We moved to the west coast, which eliminates east coast players and greatly diminishes the number of central players.    People don't like playing where their ping is high.  We have a smaller population of gamers to draw from, so there is some server downtime.  That said, I like the west coast server because I ping decently; I ping better there than I do to servers in Utah and Denver.  I've found that if I hop in there it tends to fill up pretty quickly.  I bet over the holidays we see a lot more activity.
