No.  Its the same.  Read the "We've Moved" news post for more details.

You all need to create a Vagooose Group, and schedule the event on the calendar there..

If you log in to the front page it passes the cookie to SMF.. But SMF has nothing built to pass the cookie back to the front page... currently.

Oh I see.  A button to link to the opggaming front page might be a nice one to have around here somewhere.  For those of us who come to the forums first and then want to check out the other stuff.  Just an idea.
