I think we can all agree that's retarded.  Optimizing Vista?

Microsoft has become wonderful at telling you they are working on great technology..... That they'll never sell.

Namely winfs.  Though I'm sure that will not be half as great as it could be.  Honestly I'm surprised Linux doesn't have something like that already.

I know a few people at Intel, and some of them do work with Vista for various testing purposes. But it makes no sense really to upgrade most work/school computers because they are slow usually to begin with (although I know a few at Intel with kickass rigs).

Personally I've tried the leaked build of 7, and its like Vista but better.

So do I, but even they are not fast enough to run VistaWink

That is a sad truth you bring out though.  You'd hope that each new version of an operating system would either offer a performance increase or much desired features that are worth the money.  But Vista clearly failed in this area (IMO I guess).

Speaking of which.  I have read from numerous people that Vista is somehow designed to prevent pirating.  And that it expends a great deal of system resources fighting piracy.  How?  What does it do?

Agreed, Vista is much worse than XP but not quite as bad as ME.

If windows ever manages to release another OS as crappy as ME... Yowza.

Lolz.  I know everyone thinks that way but I never had a lick of trouble with ME.  I'm weird.
