Hey fellas, have you read about or tested pack 3?  I never installed it because I originally read it was supposed to significantly slow your computer to encourage Vista adoption.  But recently I read that it gives a significant performance boost.  Do you know which is true?

Does it have any real benefits?

Tis true, although only AMD-powered HPs, and a select ASUS motherboard.

Not noticing any real performance boost really, nor any major features but it works fine.

service packs never have benefits. and of course they slowed it down to encourage adoption of vista.

I'm only guessing - but, was this on Slashdot? Because if there were more than two people that computer's became upbootable it an epidemic and Windows is the worse OS ever and people should die for using it... in slashdot's eyes anyway.
