Interesting comparison between the cost of Macs and PCs

It's not nearly as in depth as it should be considering Macs usually put in higher performance parts.  But the cost difference is substantial.

I'll ignore the majority of you comment...

But, since when does form design not have value.  Lexus is a Toyota in a pretty frame with 200% markup... Smiley  Man, if Apple made Cars I'd totally buy an iMobile. Smiley

As much as I like pretty things, when it comes to things I value performance out of more than I do design, design becomes worthless. Not entirely worthless, but I'd value actual Horsepower more than pretty looks.

I refuse to get involved in this debate further than that, though. We've been here, done this, and it went on for about 8 pages.

when i've priced out pre-built computers, the only thing more expensive than apple is alienware. and it's alienware by quite a bit, lol.

The U.S. Congress is fixated on taxing the oil and gas companies for their "windfall profits" today, while Apple's profit margins as a percentage of sales are actually higher than Exxon's and those of the other bogeymen of Congress.

"Those who claim that they can build "the same" PC for half the price are at this point baseless.'

No, those who can easily do this just don't buy $430 incompatible motherboards to go with $1109.98 cpus and $229.99 cases.

Especially when the said CPU is $339.99 on newegg  Huh

Lexus models often share the same frame and look as Toyotas.  The markup come from the luxuries inside. Undecided

I beg to differ. Lets race, ls460 vs any toyota. (apples to oranges, since ls460 isn't even a sports sedan, much less a coupe)
