I cant connect to any servers on any steam game. Nor do they show up in the browser. It says "failure to contact master game server" I have been playing around with my network in the past 2 weeks though. I set up a another firewall, knoppix std/bt2, vmware and some other virtual pc stuff. That shouldn't be affecting steam though. I even turn off Comodo (my firewall) but it still won't connect. My tcp stuff is still the same and nothing has changed. Wtf is going on? I did have some trouble connecting to xbox live like 4 days ago but that works now.

Check for rogue background apps.

Most people who have this problem are running something stupid (like norton or zonealarm) that blocks the program from accessing the intarnets.
