It sounds like an alright deal. Although I wouldn't personally purchase a used computer. There are some things to notice too. - 3GB of RAM probably means this person was dumb enough to mix/match RAM = Unstable system, plus a hardware novice built this. - If he was smarter about Processors he would have bought a different one. Not to say that you can not buy a Phenom, but that is a stupid Phenom to buy.

That is a stupid deal. Build your own.
processor 200 mobo 100-150 ps 80 ram 70 case 100 cd rom/ dvd burner 40 video card 150
your looking at if you build your own 790 maybe even cheaper. Plus you don't know what condition that mouse is in or the headset. Also those are used games he could always come back to gaming and change the password. Vista im not sure about that either. Your not even sure if any of the hardware is defected.

Considering the printer, monitor, mouse, speakers, etc. $800 is a steal.
The computer has a few things which make me worry -
AMD Phenom - known to have a few lemons 3GB RAM != Dual channel unless he has 1.5GB sticks, which are a very odd spec. 500W Power Supply - Which one? Only giving us the bran is more or less worthless.
Other than that, it looks decent.
The real question to ask yourself is whether or not you need a full monitor, printer, keyboard, mouse, etc. setup. If you do, this may be a good option.
Otherwise, just build your own.

There are no such things as 1.5GB sticks, so its probably 2x1GB and 2x512MB. Most computer manufacturers do that to keep the dual-channel performance, but stay within the 32-bit limit. Other than the computer is good for $800 if you need the monitor.

Thats exactly what I told my dad cause he doesn't want me to get a bad computer. I figured this out off new egg. Monitor-209$ Card-173$ Mouse-40$ ( I already have this mouse ) headset- 60$ Printer-85$ games- 67$ vista-290$ = 924$ thats more then what hes selling it for I told my dad your basically stealing the rest from him...

Vista for $290... ? you do have an XP disk right? Get the cheap upgrade... OR JUST STAY WITH XP.
Also, FYI: You do not need to activate your copy of XP to install a VISTA upgrade. You already have CS:S so that isn't worth anything to you and shouldn't be included in your valuation of the "deal" ...
