Did anyone watch the game last night...

Has to be the WORST NBA finals ever.  This stuff is just boring to watch.

I still can't understand how "Professional" athletes can score less in a game with 12 minute quarters than a high school team can in a game with 8 minute quarters??

On top of that.  In the NBA they shoot Free Throws after almost everyshot!

I'm tempted to boycott the NBA until I start seeing 125 to 124 games in the finals again.  Oh, and someone that can actually shoot.

You should probably join the NBA and show them how.

How about I just show them footage of the early 80s and early 90s.  Those guys could play!

Now, you spent about 20 seconds watching one guy dribble and then someone throwing up crap at the last second...

Also, I never called myself a "Professional"

They could play offense anyway. Maybe in recent years, teams figured out how to play defense?

I personally don't like seeing 120+ games in the NBA because it just tells me that one team couldn't play defense. It's like watching a 28-2 match in source. Yes, it's fun, but comon! There's nothing interesting to watch.

As for the finals, the Cavs are worse than the Jazz, which makes them much worse than the Spurs. I'm thoroughly convinced after seeing the past few games that if the Jazz had beat the Spurs (yeah right) we could have easily taken the finals. I mean, if the Eastern division is really that easy.... Wow.

I'm gonna laugh when King LeBron's team gets swept.

Yes the East is that bad...

If one of the east coast teams could get luck in the draft lottery, or even PAY to bring some talent to the conference, it would make things much better.

I don't like blowouts in Basketball either, but a 120 to 117 game is much more interesting to watch than a 70 -73 point game. To me anyways. The Cavs shot 35% from the field.  That's just terrible.

I'm not sure about the defense being "better" now.  The NBA changes the rules so much that its hard to really compare.  I was watching a Bulls vs. Pistons game from 1987 on ESPN Classic the other day, and the pistons could play D... They also were allowed to play 3/4 court zone trapping defense (Thats against the rules now).   It was an amazing game.  Jordan had 61 But they lost.  Score was something like 111 to 106 Pistons.

The NBA shot themselves in the head when they suspended Stoudemire and Diaw for that crucial game 5 in the Suns / Spurs series.  PHX should have won, and the quality of the hoops in the finals would have been so much better.  I could care less about the Spurs and the inexperienced Cavs.  LeBron is the future, but the now is brutal (his team sucks)

it was a low scoring game last night. but defense on the cav's side was rather good, but the cav's were shooting very very poorly.

pretty much when a team takes their points up to 120+, it indicates poor defense on the opposing side. and rather, it's poor defense on one side that makes the other team seem more exciting on the offensive boards. also, a team w/ poor ball handling allows a lot of fast breaks. if you want excitement, it'll require a team to do several things wrong, and i don't like that really. the suns and spurs series was pretty dam good til the nba big wigs messed it up.

on the more rare side, they're just on flippin fire and no matter what kind of defense you put up, that team still scores. kobe bryant is a big example on that.
