I'm a die hard Montreal fan and have been since I was 5 years old. I did however stray to loving the Penguins for the entire time I Lemieux was playing. I played AAA in Moose Jaw SK for a few years but decided to quit playing for reasons I still regret

Anyways, Washington IS still bad, but their new jersey's are snazzy. Although my Junior A teams jerseys were based off the last one so I have some nostalgia for them.
Pittsburgh however, is not good. Or in good shape at least. They have made some absolutely retarded drafts. They have several current/futuire stars on their hands, and they are about to explode to to cap restrictions. Getting rid of them isn't going to be easy unless they do it soon before their players switch classes in the CBA. The problem is:"
-Crosby
-Malkin
-Staal
-Fleury
and now: Angelo Esposito, their latest draft pick.
Within the next 3 years(if not sooner) Pittsburgh will have no choice but to sign these players to "ridiculously" large amounts. now most will be merited because these are players of talent, but look at the big picture:
-Crosby, the "next one", will NOT be accepting a contract lower than 8 million. at least. period.(unless he fires all his agents and signs the contract with a lawyer by his side!)
-Malkin, crazy good kid as we've seen, would be a number one liner on any team in the league...do your really think he'll settle for less than crosby? if he does...id say 7 million.
-Staal, Fleury, Esposito, all franchise players who can make this team the godly winner we know it will be, I'll be fair and say 4-5 million each.
so were looking at 30 million on 5 players(if it isn't more)...that leaves roughly 15 million to sign the rest of your team...in today's NHL, this is defiantly one of the best ways to "dig yourself a hole" - Pittsburgh Style
Anywho, I'm just bitter that the Habs didn't take a risk and get Cherepanov when they could have, or even Espisito for that matter. ALbeit he would have probably been crushed under the pressure of playing for, and being from Montreal.
