really simple, but i'm too mad at photoshop to do it right now.  black to white vertical gradiant, going from 50 alpha on black to 0 alpha on white (1 image top to bottom, 1 bottom to top). 2px wide, 30 px tall. i need it transparent. i'm going to be putting this over a red color, so i just really want the red at the top or bottom to be a little bit darker. i want to be able to use it on multiple colors though, ergo why it needs to be a png with the transparency stuff.

i need it in png format.

let me know if you have more questions.

thanks love.

Doesn't jed have some sort of form or licensing agreement that has to be filled out before he can work on stuff like this? Just think, if you used that png for terrorist acts, jed could be held partially accountable. And no ones wants that.

Heh, done sir.  Do you want a real simple tutorial so you can do it in the future?

Let's hope he already knows... if not, I feel bad for him.  Wait, maybe he's against photoshop because it spawned on a mac.

Roger, photoshop is nothing like ASP.  Since I don't know your photoshop level, I tried making it very self explanatory.

When you create a new document, make sure the "Background Contents" are transparent.

Wow, I was totally wrong.  He didn't know how to do it.  I still say it's because PS spawned on a mac.

Roger.  Fill: The raster part of the layer.  Opacity: The raster & effects.  Turn the fill off, and you'll only see the layer effects.
