We found some pugs via mirc and played against them on Dust 2. We got wasted the first half, but came back to a last round duke out for the close loss.

You said you found them via irc?  did you tell them about our tourney? 

I wonder how many other clans we can find out there to setup a scrim on IRC? 

Also, there maybe an irc application I can add to the website.. let me look...

Yes, Anarchy and Fr0st set up mirc last night. They found another group to scrim after we finished with this one.

I did not tell them about our tourney because we were playing by CAL rules, and only team captains are allowed to talk. Granted, it wasn't a match so this wasn't enforced, but we kept the mutual agreement of keeping topics match related. Sorry.

Also, there are TONS of groups/clans we can find out there to scrim. IT usually only takes about 10 minutes to set one up, and very rarely will you scrim an actual clan. Usually it's 2-3 members of another clan and a few pugs who they grabbed to come scrim with them.
