I suppose we have tons of smoke. For nearly two weeks the sun was completely blocked by smoke for half the day. It was kind of cool though, for some reason the world turned yellow.
We have been really lucky this year, there are fires all around us but the smoke isn't in the valley. We get loads of ash settling on the ground though.
Aren't you near Great falls? I seem to remember the Militia folks as being on the other side of the mountains.
