so... last night i was laying in bed, couldn't sleep, and saw a bright flash of light. i had no idea what it was today, at first i thought it was just a car turning around or something, but at the same time i was like "hmm... why did the light come in the bathroom window (north) AND the back window (east)." here is a crappy video and more info: http://bit.ly/1YW5AZ. crazy. |

Slept right through it - dammit! My friend was driving home on I-15, said he thought we'd been nuked. I thought I heard someone say the sonic boom showed up 5 minutes later - is that insane?

yeah, there was a sonic boom 5 minutes later, I didn't hear it though. I thought for a second "ah crap, hill [air force base] got nuked", but I'm close enough to it that I wouldn't see the light and still be alive.

Tangent alert - anyone else ever watch "The Universe" on the History channel? I'm getting them all on DVR - favorite thing going now. Well - the new WWII in color series is right there with it.

Here's mine: Jaminz walks out of a bar, the alcohol gets the best of him and he falls to the ground, rolls over on his back and sees the huge flash of light. Today he is speaking Portugese and working all the issues out of the Large Hadron Collider. Gawd - this is a great story!  |
