they're not civilians, they're terrorists.
people not shooting rockets just trying to live their lives without their governments f***ing it up are not terrorists.  why do you think that people living in gaza risk getting killed by the egyptian border guard to get the hell out

(u trollin?)

Mostly just being sarcastic, but slightly trollin.

so if canada launched a rocket at us and killed 4 people, one of whom was your wife powdered, what would you do? And before you answer, what if canada had launched missiles at you before?

Yup israel is blameless and all Palestinians are evil, murdering bastards and anyone trying to take them food and band aids is just as evil.  Thank god everything is so black and white.

everyone sucks and assholes keep launching rockets at the big kid and killed 4 people so the big kid comes and kills 400 people and injures 2000 of the little kid

In respect to the most recent bombardment, the vast majority of dead coming from the overwhelmed hospitals have been from Hamas, which might also make the title of the thread a bit overboard.

Except for this to be a valid analogy, there would have to be almost double the amount of Canadians as Americans, Canadians would have been dwelling in the US for a good bit longer then this continent has been served by Europeans, and then forced out of their homes into shanty towns at gun point.

And for this to be valid, the ratio of dead civilians on both sides would have to be even remotely comparable for the past 60 years. It isn't a case of two equal sides duking it out, it's one side killing a couple soldiers, and the other then carpet bombing ghettos. It's sad that this time it has more to do with party politics in Israel than with Hamas, there would have been no issue extending the cease fire, but hardliners in Israel are busy saying they'll all protect Israel the best before the upcoming election. The same people that made compulsory race-based ID at all times; race-based marriage prohibition laws; race-based laws concerning property acquisition, or even travel in their own country. What a great upstanding country for the US to pump 3 trillion dollars into.

Moral of the story: If you are going to go inventing countries, don't use the Bible as your only reference.

And lets bring it back to Utah a bit... I believe that one of the tasks of individuals employed at Hill Air Force base revolves around helping explain to Israel how to install the OS in the Fighter Jets and Bombers we sell them (Without an OS of course to obey UN laws).

1) None of you, none of you have ever lived in Israel. If you did you would understand one thing. The country is surrounded on all fronts by nations that wish nothing short of its utter destruction. The fake smiles from Jordan, Egypt, and recently a sinister smirk from Saudi Arabia, is due to the United States' alliance with Israel.

2) The #1 issue on the political agenda in Israel, for the reason mentioned above, is national security. By Israel being surrounded, and being in at least 1 war for every decade of the 20th century since their existence, this leads to a heightened level of stress amongst the population (many say this is why israelis drive like maniacs, they need to get to their destination before the next war starts)

3) When it comes to the middles east all rationality is put aside. The debate between religion and rationality evaporates when one tries to observe the middle east. People blowing themselves up, killing, kidnapping, in the name of religion is irrational. This lack of rationality flows into this issue as well. How? In many ways, a few of which i will state:
- Israel has let in trucks of food/blood supplies/ medical supplies into Gaza from the UN and the red cross, but the world isn't recognizing this
- Israel has actually called palestiniant civilians living near targets, as in on the phone, and told them a building near them is a target, and to evacuate their premises asap, so they've been warned
- Jews are a close knit community, an Israeli soldier dying causes the entire country to be in mourning for a week, when a bunch of them are killed by rocket attacks, and those shooting the rockets are punished accordingly, and then protests consisting of millions in London and throughout Europe occur against israel...no comment
- If your attacked by your neighbor and you don't do anything about it...that's irrational right? Thats whats happening here, and if any other nation was in the same position as Israel they would do the exact same thing, minus them getting international hate mail
- During negotiations for a ceasefire, Hamas rockets continued to reign down on Israel..they clearly don't care about stability in the region, they want the annihilation of Israel
The Bible isnt a reference for the existence of the nation of Israel. Lets take a quick history lesson shall we?

- League of Nations entrusts Britain and France (in certain areas) to govern over the middle east, they recieve dominion over it
- World War II occurs, 6 million jews murdered by Germans
-World has sympathy for Jews/ US and Britain see opportunity to institute a stronghold close to the growing power of the USSR
- 1948 with blessing of US/ Britain, UN resolution passed, state of Israel established as a result of a democratic vote being passed in the UN (democratic internationalism used to create a soveriegn state)

Well, when you invent a country already in another country, with similar peoples around them, and force those peoples to be refugees to those other countries who didn't even like them before, that's just your own fault.

Quote
- Israel has let in trucks of food/blood supplies/ medical supplies into Gaza from the UN and the red cross, but the world isn't recognizing this

I don't know why you would say this, it is very common knowledge. Also common knowledge is that they have let in 17. Of 700 needed.

Quote
- If your attacked by your neighbor and you don't do anything about it...that's irrational right? Thats whats happening here, and if any other nation was in the same position as Israel they would do the exact same thing, minus them getting international hate mail

Yet again, if you put a gun to your neighbors head and take his house, and then he attacks you back, I don't really see how your neighbor is unjustified.

Right, they just HAPPENED to put it exactly there. The quote I believe being "A people without a country, a country without a people." It was a rushed and extremely irrational idea that caused this lasting situation.

Now I'm not saying that Fatah/Hamas/Hezbollah's tactics might be humane, or even intelligent to achieve their aims, but they've been put into a situation where they don't have any other choice visible to them. As long as Israel thinks they have so much of a right to the land that they will pulverize an entire nation into fringe refugee camps, they'd better expect that kind of retaliation , and no, I won't really feel too bad for them.

Um... Israel feels they have the right to the land because they won War after War after War with the Palestinians.

Not saying that its right... but every time I've checked... the victors of a war, got more land and money than the losers..

Agreed, and I really have no problem with many of their actions, to a point even these most recent, but my point is just that I don't think Israel is worth a single American life or dollar.

anti-semitic is different than anti-israel, and any time anyone says anything bad about israel this seems to come up
