Laby..... doesn't Puff Daddy (name at the time) use this at the beginning of his tribute to Biggie? I'll be missing you?
Sounds really familiar.
I believe so. It's also the theme song of Platoon. It's been in a lot of movies and places. It's a pretty popular song.

I've been absolutely diggin' Enigma recently. A very different sound, yet enjoyable. You may hate it, you may not. Then in a similar vein, Sting. I dig his sound about 50% of the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bxRewGi77k (External Embedding Disabled)

Don't think I can embed this SMF. Nothing amazing, but enjoyable and definitely different. I commend them for doing something with an accordian I can (sometimes) stand. Try the Wermland album (on the right) first. http://www.detektivbyran.net/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wLWhSZ1Uvo (External Embedding Disabled)

Pardon if some of you have already heard this (they've all been in waffles recent articles) Grand Magus - Heavy, plodding, awesome. Darc Mind - recorded mid 90's, released 2006. Has that awesome 'classic' hip hop feel.

Okay. I CANNOT for the life of me get Crystal Castles out of my head and I CANNOT figure out why. Do not dig their videos, do dig their music.

Mute Math - Spotlight. A catchy tune indeed. Best quality video is actually a drum cover... since it was in Twilight.

ChequerboardTry 'Penny Black' or 'Ornithopter.' I think his catch phrase sums it up best - "Antiquated Futurism"

I love Rebellion's 3 part history of the vikings. This is from the 3rd Album. It's a nice blend of viking and power metal. Has a gritty sound without being annoying. Two Steps From Hell is not a band, per se. They compose music that is used in theatrical trailers/scores. Intense, predictable, and symphonic - this music is guaranteed to make your life more epic.

Time for a periodic update. 2010 has been a pretty sweet year in metal/music in general. New albums by Pendulum, Grand Magus, Iron Maiden, Accept, Lordi, Heidevolk, and Blind Guardian. Heidevolk (folk/viking metal, love the harmony on this) Accept (is back, and their new singer is awesome) Pendulum (new album: immersion. They've moved beyond drum and bass. I like the result) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvUyPUfmwNU (External Embedding Disabled)
