Speaking of starcraft, why has blizzard never come out with an updated version. Startcraft II or whatever. I mean seriously... good gameplay lousy graphics FTL!
Speaking of 1.6...

Why would blizzard every try to do anything ever again?
They only make updwards of a billion dollars a year off of subscription fees.

Actually Blizzard is quite serious about StarCraft again. Inspite of the "indefinite" delay of SC: Ghost many suspect that their "Huge announcement" coming up this next year will be SC II. Ofcourse, as with all Blizzard games it will take upwards of 4 years to finish making after they original release date, but hey that's the way of things.

You know what, let's hope so. Cause starcraft and AOE II were the only 2 rpg (is that what they're called?) that I ever liked to play with friends. But SC is just so bloody outdated...

RTS
Real Time Strategy
And WC3 blows SC out of the water. SC is simple in comparison... Granted, SC was amazingly fun. I just think WC3 was better.

I never played WarCraft, but you are the first person I've ever heard say that who has played both. How much have you played SC, because it is quite a complex game in it's own way.

Ah, RTS, yes. Example of a game that's RPG? WoW? Also an MMO, no? Acronyms FTW!
I have warcraft 3 and it's a great game. But that's like comparing oranges to orange juice. They come from the same tree, but a generations apart. Try comparing warcraft (or warcraft 2, I don't know when they came out) to starcraft and that might be a little better.

Yeah.
Jed, I liked starcraft but I got really far in to WC3 back in the day. What I really liked about WC3 vs SC was the massive amount of micromanagement. In SC you could lose a unit, and it would mean something, but in WC3 often times the difference between winning and losing would be forgetting to press the hotkey for the defense you needed to activate on those casters 3 minutes ago.
Who knows, maybe it was the fact that the complexity, the depth, and the planning involved in WC3 just got me hooked. I could just never get in to SC, the scope of each game seemed too big in comparison with WC3.

guys guys...sc isn't outdated..shouldn't be compared to war or war2...its perfectly balanced
if you think war3 is more complex and requires more micro management than sc, you haven't experienced sc the correct way! look into some vids of the Korean pro gamers...war3 pales in comparison
and if you're still not convinced...a while ago i read an article about a pro gamer who played war3 professionally for a bit after it came out (was previously playing sc)...he said it was fun but compared to sc it was "a walk in the park"
