The ship recently had a free weekend, if any of you noticed. I'd like to hear from each of you what you thought if you played it.
When it was released I thought the concept sounded really fun, but certainly wasn't willing to drop 20 bucks that I don't have on a game that I've never played. This free weekend changed all that. I can write up more later (I'm at work right now) but suffice it to say I really enjoyed the game and will be buying it when I have the 20 bucks.

lol don't fill up my car with gas and voila, 40 bucks. But I can't not fill up my car with gas. And when I'm already a grand in debt, I need to pay that back...

I bought The Ship awhile ago, but I never play it. I don't like it at all. Maybe I just suck ... I can never find my target, and the art style just kinda creeps me out. Same with that old crusty jazz music. I don't like that era + that art style. I guess I'm more into lots of interesting guns that do cool things (like vaporize), mixed with spells or Force powers, some kind of dueling, big maps, and map variety like we used to have with Unreal Tournament (ratpack maps!). Low ping. Intense competition. Combo moves and duels. Maybe a little scotch. Maybe some girls with those hot nerd glasses and little pleated skirts and creative cussing. Some kind of background that's either a massive saltwater fish tank or maybe the paint is LCD and has a real-time simulation of outer space or a beach or something. A nice stereo system with a good party mix going. Just the right crisp, cool temperature coming through the vents. A little more scotch.
Yessir, The Ship sure does make me think of better things.

lol yeah the ship is certainly not that. And the music does get old, but I figure I'll just replace it with better stuff when I buy the game. Now if only there was a way to transfer a game from mactombs account to mine...

i don't know why i did it, but i played that free trial for about 14 hours or something like that.
that was dumb. i'll never play it again, i was honestly sick of it after about four hours. once you've hit your target with different weapons there really isn't much replay value, unless you want to just try and hit them while they are on the can or sleeping.

Hm. I think it's great fun going around and killing everyone while trying not to be killed. Of course I've been keen to this game only in real life. With airsoft. Maybe that's why I like it.
