Wow, so Oblivion and Fallout 3 are comparable? I thought they would be apples to oranges.

Fable 2 is pretty fun too.  If you liked Fable 1, you'll like Fable 2.  The game play is similar.  Leveling up is a little different from what I remember.  The graphics are a ton better.

Picked up Fable II this weekend... Have yet to play it.  Maybe tonight.

After playing this for a few days, it's going to be very difficult to muster up the will to finish it. I was not a fan, it's a mediocre game all the way around.

Beefs:
WHERE THE HELL is my HUD?
Why is the game so unintuitive that I need a gold line to show me where to go?
Why is fighting so ridiculously easy
Mana/will? I swear you used to have a limited amount of that. The new stuff is seemingly unlimited.
Force push is still the end all be all rape fest of attacks
Could they have made the in game economy slightly harder to rape than 'buy the bowerstone inn'
Co-op sucks, there ain't much more to say.
What happened to all my favorite fable 1 features, such as mappable spells, the ability to un/sheath my weapons at my own desire, the relatively challenging combat, etc.

The story and atmosphere.
This game is GORGEOUS, end of story. I love just walking around places, as the enviroments have this great atmosphere to them. 
The story is fairly compelling, considering it's a sequel and still cliched.

Overall:
I feel like I'm playing a bad remake of Fable 1 with my favorite features ripped out, the broken features fixed, and everything dumbed down for CASUAL gamers. I can understand marketing to casual gamers, but please don't do it at the expense of your normal fanbase.

Ive heard it sucks from multiple sources.. and there's no endgame boss. Fail. Never really liked Fable 1 anyway.

I enjoyed fable 1 as it was your mediocre RPG with just enough of a twist to make it enjoyable.

This time around, it's just too blegh for my tastes. In the last one I had to at least work to become unstoppable, rich, and capable of wooing a whole town with one arm pump. Less than 4 hours into Fable II I get 1500+ gold every 5 minutes, have yet to be hurt by an enemy, and can marry anyone with a single 'seduce' action.

Finished this about 2 hours ago.

Was not impressed to say the least. It really just felt like I was playing through Fable I a second time but with all my favorite features gutted from the game. All my previous beefs still stand.

I feel asleep playing this game the other day... controller in hand...

When i work up, my guy was walking into a lamp post and most have been for about 45 minutes...  His forehead must have been hurting.
