This game has been fun.   For me, the game is kind of a combination of excite bike and RC pro Am with a modern graphics engine and sweet controls.  The Wii remote is responsive and sensitive to your movements and there is nothing like making a huge jump or smashing into a fellow truck racer.  I've played with a wheel adapter to the remote and then with it by its self and both seem to work equally well.  In my opinion, Nintendo should have included the wheel adapter free with the game.

In addition to trying to win each race the game grades you based on the number of stars you've earned (you earn these buy having great jumps, crashes, slides, or other actions while completing the course) and the time you finish the race in.  Finish in first will net you an additional 50 stars and help your score.  The score ranges from F - A with an additional S being granted to those that are SUPER.  Win enough races and receive enough S scores and you'll unlock various aspects of the game including new trucks and new courses.

The only draw back of the game is that most the courses are just adjustments of the course you already played.  No matter they're different enough and still fun to experience.

My brother-in-law that doesn't play video games can't stop playing as he's tried to unlock all the trucks and get a S score on each of the courses.

I'd give this a 4 out of 5.

i picked this up last weekend, it's been fun, it's all my wife wants me to play these days.

one thing that i liked is how some of the course variations really cater to the different trucks that are available. such as some get better air, or grip the ground better.

it just takes some time and patience to figure out which truck will serve your needs for the course.

really fun game, i can't wait to have my mom try it.

I played this game once (since I don't own a Wii), it was actually quite fun (though I got my ass handed to me). I like the Wii in general, but I'm not sure Excite truck was worth the price (Rampage certainly isn't), still good though! [Maybe I'm just too cheap to actually buy games. Piracy ftw!
