a lot of guns are great actually. but i'd prefer the mp5 over the p90. i'm sure they complain about the p90 for the same reason they did in cs; it has little recoil and spews bullets of a large magazine like crazy w/ pretty good range.

The p90 is what the vast majority of competitive players are using in scrims, mostly just because of the speed/silence. The registration is so bad that an automatic weapon's damage is an afterthought. The Desert Eagle is equally ridiculous as you can just whip off rounds and have them be very accurate. Obviously in leagues there is only the silencer and red dot for attachments (sorry no grenade launchers), and there are only 4 perks being used right now. Cooked nades are still insane though.

The biggest hole in the game right now has to be the sniper rifles. The barret is illegal competitively (for obviosu reasons) but everything else even with the increased damage perk is just suckage. Most people in scrims sniping do so with the m16 as the 3-burst is still very accurate and does a lot of damage.



Also, air-strikes in pubs are the best thing since sliced bread.

I played on a regular server...50 slots.....map=Shipment.

My only question was about where the guy pounding in air strikes like it was his job was hiding.

A couple things (I would recommend) (IMHO) when picking a server:

A. Don't pick huge 50 person servers. I would stick with a 18 - 26(max)
B. I would pick a hardcore server - no respawn, half your life (and your enemy's), no radar - unless called in
C. TL (Tactical Leaders) has a great server that has one of the best rules -- No airstrikes, heli or nades in the first 20 seconds of the game. This prevents Noobcannons at round start killing people in spawn.
D. Airstrikes kind of suck - but, if you pay attention enough you can avoid them. Heli are the true gayness of everything in the world. You just have to take cover and shoot the shit out of that heli.
E. I can't stop playing S&D. I believe this to probably be the best game type so far. I would give a S&D Hardcore with maybe 20 players a try. Once you get to know the maps it's pretty damn fun.

I finished the CoD4 SP yesterday.  Gonna give the MP a try now.  I'm desiring 2 8800 GT's in SLI now, my 24" LCD is too many pixels for the one 8800 GTS.

Most HC servers tell you to turn off Marty (too many TKs). I f***ing hate dieing from martyrdom... ohhh - I hate it so much.

Took me a while to figure out WTH was going on - and I don't like it unless I am in one of those small maps.  There is one miniature one with the boxcars that is absolute mayhem - die .2 secs after spawning.  I like dropping a nade after death then.  I LOVE the last stand perk - I pwn peeps and you know they freaking hate it.

Yes - been slowly working on getting all the challenges completed.  Taking those weak SMG's up against the rifles sucks.  Still amazed at how good the reg is in this game on about any server - good netcode.

i played for only 5 minutes a few nights ago. i was reminded why i stopped playing it a month ago. well, i should really stop playing in those 50 plus slot servers then maybe the frequency of getting killed by randomly thrown nades will decrease. and my main weapon is the m16.

50+?? No way man! I don't play on any servers past 24. I think 20 to 24 is a perfect amount of people for server population.
