That is not slightly disturbing at all.

518s come with teflon feet right?  I don't have a desk big enough for a suitable mouse pad so I go without.  But I am saving up for a bunch of different pieces of furniture and a real desk is on that there list.

My desk has an incredible amount of varnish on it.  If you keep it clean it is quite the mouse pad.  But it doesn't compare to glass Sad

Or you could just buy a large piece of glass at the local home depot.

If it was that simple, every single person on the planet would be selling glass mousepads.

There's a lot more to it than just a piece of glass.

Wow.  I can't believe you took that seriously.  I'll have to use sarcasm tags from now on. Geez.

Well, you were talking about putting it on a desk, which would effectively work. However, it wouldn't work very well. because the desk would still be the pad, but you would be adding an extra cm or so between the mouse and the pad.

Depending on the lift-off distance it may still work.

Bad attempt at sarcasm. GG

unfortunately, the feet on 518s are plastic, or at least plasticky. on the g5 you get teflon.

as for space, it shouldn't be an issue. a 20 dollar Steelpad S&S improved (which is still one of the best pads around) is only about 1/16 of an inch thick, so it can easily go under your keyboard.

oh, and glass pads are terrible. i had one and the only thing i use it for is rolling spliffs and doing coke

mousepad: fUnc Archetype 1030 on the rough side, I have tried everything from the razer pads to the icemat and I always go back to a fUnc. I actually despised the icemat, noisy, never felt that smooth, but they do look kinda pretty now.
mouse: g5
dpi:2000
sensitivity: 1.085
zoom_sensitivity : .88

The sensitivity is 5 clicks in the windows/logitech options thingy.
