800dpi
7/11 Windows
3.1 Ingame

Probably the highest sensitivity in Cal-Main. These kids play at like 1.4 and rape me all day with deagles and awps.

wow you really play on 800 dpi? as far as i knew that only effects the amount if information that is readable by the mouse, not necessarily the actual sensitivity.
Is there a reason you play so low? that makes me really curious.

i usually play at 600 dpi w/ the game setting sens to it's lowest (1.0 i think). I just sorta followed what the stig has said a long time ago about using low sens. i was using 550 for some time but that is a bit too slow. 600 for b.ho!!

but isnt the dpi, (dots per inch) refer to the amount of information that is processed?
if that was the case it would all come down to your sens in game and with your drivers etc...
i play with super low sens as well. but i keep my dpi at 1800
??

I think it refers to the amount of detail a mouse can detect.  Similar to how a scanner works.  With a higher DPI smaller movements will be detected and with greater precision, but you need to lower your sensitivity to compensate.

No, not really.

There's a whole article by antigen on the CAL forums explaining why Low DPI is better for either low-high sens players, I can't remember which.

Yes, you have to be registered on the CAL forums, which means you have to be registered on the CAL site.

Doh!  Can you please copy the goodies here?  I assume the only way to register is if I'm part of  team.  But I'm really intrigued.

No, just register an account on the CAL site, you don't have to join a division.

I'd copy/paste here, but it's about 20 pages long and I don't want to redo all that formatting.

Roger that, thanks for the link.  I must read this before I start a new book.
