Ok everybody I'm almost done with the configs for the servers, but before I post anything for review let's have a brainstorm session.
I know half you are thinking, "WTF?!?!?!?!" right about now but please hear me out.
With this new server so close I think it would be best if we could make it PERFECT, meaning no flaws whatsoever in the set up of the server. Now, I know that some things will have to be tweaked after the server goes up, but until then let's figure out what makes a REALLY GOOD counterstrike: source server.
Please post ideas/setups/configurations you have, or have seen regarding the best, of the best, of the best of CSS servers. Now, I'm not talking about posting ideas from the neato little 24/7 surf server that you frequent or the best configuration of the RPG mod server you visit, rather masteresque type servers. I know that I'm taking a lot of my ideas from the previous masters server, the server the stig used to be a part of, and a CPL practice server. These servers are usually full 18 hours a day, and have some of the most amazing setups ever. These are the type of servers I want to hear about: server configurations which attract people and keep them hooked.
As soon as we run out of ideas I'll incorperate the good ones, nix the bad ones and we'll roll from there.

Not sure if this relates, but there isn't a way in Steam to send a message to someone that trys to join a full server is there?

Speaking of Stig, when this server goes up I'm so inviting him to it. I'm pissed that BoE kicked him out as it were.
But, honestly Laby I already love it. It sounds like Jed's dream come true. I will think on it more though, because there is always something one can think of with a little meditation.

I was responsible for that, and BoE didn't kick him out we just pulled his admins. Stig had a power abuse problem, was rude to other admins, and would often times play under an alias and not let you know who he was. The agreement was unanimous to pull admins across a board of 4 people. |

As for the actual server, I guess it really depends on donations but I'm guessing sometime next week?
I know this weekend is really bad for me, it's homecoming weekend and I have a chem lab saturday morning.
Meaning:
Friday afternoon & evening = Booked.
Saturday from 7:30AM-2:00AM Sunday Morning = Booked.
