No, I treat everybody the same.  I'm not playing source in a church.  This isn't etiquette school.  A bunch of us were making jokes about "rage quitting" to each other, and rage comes in and bans me for directing a playful comment towards him with no warning.

IMO that is exactly what the logs indicate.  However, it is clear that neither Rage nor Halloween understood that the comments were playful. 

This was simply a misunderstanding, that resulted in a super temporary ban.  So go forth and be jolly norm.
