Last I checked satellite blows.  While it offers better speeds than dialup at a premium price, the latency feels like humans are relaying the data not computers.

that's what they told my sister when she tried to switch from dial-up to DSL.  no one at qwest seems to know what a coil actually is, they just say it keeps her and every second house in her neighborhood from getting DSL (meaning her next-door neighbor can get it just fine). makes sense, huh?
